Affi

entroterra-affi
The pretty little town of Affi is directly to the east of Garda at about 3 km as the crow flies from Lake Garda itself. It is in the hinterland between Bardolino and Rivoli with the Tasso River running through it, and it extends to the north to the Caprino Plain between the Moraine Rivoli and Garda amphitheatres, embracing the distinctive peak of Mount Moscal which rises out of the plain. Over recent years Affi Municipality has undergone rapid commercial and urban development. Although it is quite small, Affi tries to find the perfect balance of man and nature, of hard daily work and respect of traditions offering an amazing cultural wealth
which is very little known unfortunately. Beside the beauty of the landscape there are many interesting historical, artistic and architectural aspects in the area of Affi that prove a wide socio-cultural heritage and show the importance of past civilisation. The highest points of architectural interest are the villas that aristocrats had built since the 17th century both as their residence for the summer months and to develop agriculture. It should be noted that there is a new inter-council cycle track in Affi which runs for more than 20 kilometres (through Affi, Caprino Veronese, Costermano and Rivoli Veronese) for healthy, respectful and non-polluting tourism.
